Road Block

I am an Amazing Race fanatic. I am fond of the idea on going to different places and performing different tasks and challenges. However, the last season of the Amazing Race – both in the US and Asia – is a great dismay for me.

In Amazing Race (US), I love the tandem of Christina and Ronald. They are a father and daughter tandem. Both of them are strong and confident. But these traits are not good enough to win the race. The team ended up to be the second place.

In Amazing Race Asia, Marc and Rovilson are the dynamic duo that made history. They won seven out of the possible ten pit stops. They are both agile and smart. Both of them are really funny because they make the most out of each race. I love the team very mush because of these characters and to top all my reasons – they represent my country Philippines. Unfortunately, the season concluded with them being in the third place.

All of them are my bets and they have one more thing in common – they had a hard time completing the road block challenge. If you have watched the final episode of both races, the teams are actually taking a big lead over their competitors. Twist of fate came and made them placers not winners. Too bad both teams because the reality really bites – and this so called reality devour their dreams away.

Both races, made me realize that life is a big race. No one can be assured that he will be successful in his chosen field on endeavour. Every minute counts. Every moment is important. One should use his brain to think, his body to move, his heart to feel and his mind to express his faith. Each obstacle requires decision. Every hurdle needs strength. Each way caters a happy thought. And every moment demands a renewal of our personality. Even though both of my bets did not win the game, I still love them as a team. Being contended and happy, already made them winners. Christina was with her Dad when they finished the race and she is so proud of it. And for Ronald, they are already winners in his heart. For Rovilson and Marc, it is rather hard not to admit the truth so they accepted it with open arms. I love both of them when they carried the Philippine flag while running to the pit stop. They even jumped with their signature moves when they reached the pit stop. It is not important if you win or loose in the race, it is how you play the game.
