political dynasty in cavite

it is just november but you can feel it. it is not christmas but the election fever. for me, every election is like other elections. reason? you can see the same surnames. you can hear the same family. as of this writing, i can still hear the names of abaya, revilla for local, we also have cayetano, aquino in national.

i may not be in the best position to judge them but my question is - does it really runs in the family? my answer is a big NO. for example, in first district of cavite. abaya's are really creating a dynasty - one person from the other. from plaridel abaya who won over jun nazareno so many years ago. he gave his seat to his son - jun abaya - who recently became the dotc secretary. since jun can no longer run for congress, boy blue is running for the same position.

revilla's are also creating something! lol! they used to be the 'talo si mister, talo si misis' tandem is now joined by bong's brother - strike revilla - and his son - jolo. bong is still a senator, lani (i think) is seeking for re-election as the congresswoman of the lone district of bacoor, strike for his last term as mayor of bacoor and jolo for vice governor of cavite. wow! heavy!

they said that it runs in the family but my take is - it is a political dynasty. should we vote for them? i am going to vote if he/she is the best option. we all have the right run for various political position - no one should stop them from running in 2013 election. my bottom line is - filipinos should not vote based from family names but based from platforms and track records.
