its more beautiful in the philippines v.2012

last year, a lot of filipinas marked a history in beauty contests - ms. universe, ms. world and ms. earth. they may not won the title (just runners up) but it still. being one of the finalists makes me very proud of our race.

5.33 AM/5.41 AM

i am a morning person. even though i sleep late, i can wake up as early as 4.30 am. so, its not a big deal for me to make a morning run and/or fetch her. hhhmm...i assume you know who am i referring to. for the past couple of months, i fetch her every morning and then i go to work. 6 am bus ride makes me an early bird for i usually arrive 7.30 @ mandaluyong.

goodbye my friend

my reebok shoes (trail) is now a record holder. so far, it is my longest running buddy. he used to be my gym buddy as well. i just love it! but like any other love, you need to know when to let go. it is so hard to say goodbye to a friend like my shoes. i may look stupid to some folks but i really love this one.

pilgrimage to madrid v.10

afterwards, nagpunta kami sa Palomeras Altas (sana tama ako...lol!). this is where kiko initiated the neo catechumenal way. dito kami kumain ng lunch tapos konting explantion si luigi tungkol sa place. iba yung feeling nung nandun ako. i felt my root. diniscuss sa amin how things went through at may mga pinakitang pictures with kiko and carmen. luigi reminded us of what kiko and the pope told us...

day when i gained 4 lbs

this day is really special. we had a team lunch - our lunch team lunch here in chicago. we ate at Cheesecake Factory. i ordered diane's steak with herb crusted salmon. it was served with mashed potatoes. it was really good.

i must admit. fine fine - i did watch this movie after i have downloaded it. haha!


for me, the movie is a trash. sorry, for  kc and sam fan. i love some of sam's movie believe me. he's very effective in a feel good movie but this movie (again for me) is not good. kc, on the other hand, is beautiful - hahehehe. however, their lines are quite impressive - pang-pick up! lol! anyways, here are some of the lines that i got >>

before meeting her, i thought i was everything. but now i feel that i was something.

it took me just one day to fall in love with her. i just never thought that it will take forever to say goodbye.

paulo coelho in pirate bay!

when i checked the pirate bay site today, i saw a familiar face of a man who influenced my career (see my blog -  samu't sari - not explicitly mentioned but his words in that entry is awesome!) in so many ways - paulo coelho. i find it very weird so i grabbed a screenshot of their home page.



there it says, "The Pirate Bay proudly promotes Paulo Coelho".  and when i checked his blog site, he's proud of it! i say, "what?". anyways, here is what Paulo say >> Promo Bay. it was awesome. i really love his thoughts and beliefs. lol!

zombadings: patayin sa shokot si remington

this movie is so funny. the twist is awesome and the ending is unexpectedly crazy! the actor martin escudero played it well, medyo malandi nga lang but it's really funny. the horror effect of the movie is not that scary. the plot is concentrated sa love triangle nina - Remington, his guy bestfriend and his love interest Lauren Young. well, it's a movie. di talaga matatackle ang lahat ng aspeto. 

i'll give this movie an 8.

bird sanctuary

the philippine reclamation authority is proposing to have 635 hectares place near roxas blvd. be converted to a private, commercial and tourism area. sounds awesome? not until you hear that this is situated right beside a protective wetland that caters  a lot of different birds – migratory birds from china, endemic philippine duck and thousands of waterbirds. imagine that? check this out. i don’t want to enumerate everything that you can see here because this is not what i want to stress out.

just recently, noli de castro reported how this sanctuary is threatened. it broke my heart when i heard about the issue. hearing of how the local government stands on this issue, mayor bernabe said “…irerelocate natin yung sanctuary…”. yes, RELOCATE. i think he has a hidden talent of talking with the birds to tell them that they should be relocated. in my own words, he is boplaks. sover (super and over) boplaks. he added that they need this project so as to generate jobs and provide housing to the poor. gggrrr… i am not anti-poor but i am against politicians who do not have political will. these politicians – like mayor bernabe – is a traditional politician (trapo) who keeps on using the poor in their platform every election. so pathetic.

again, i wanted to stress out that i am not against the poor. i just know that there are other alternatives in relocating them, in generating jobs, etc. if i am the mayor, i’ll convert this bird sanctuary to a beautiful and clean place. this is one place that the whole city that could be proud of. remove the squatters who lives in the nearby place. i am not anti-poor, i am pro-nature. there are things that we really need to compromise...
