today is fat tuesday. it's time of the year where (in some parts of the world) people celebrate, eat a lot of food and party in the street before the lenten season starts. they also call it as mardi gras - which is a french translation of fat tuesday.
well, this celebration is not needed. reason is that we should celebrate all year round. yes, all year round. celebrate things with God for He has provided everything that we need. i'm not like this every minute of the year but i am happy.
we do not need a day to celebrate before we do fasting and push ourselves away from sins. what we just need is to pray. as i enter my 40 days and 40 nights of fasting, i feel so excited yet worried. hopefully in God's grace, i will be able to do it!
note: well, people might think why my labels say - love life, moving on. my idea of 40 days and 40 nights really started from my urge to move on. though i think this is no longer needed but this seems to be a perfect time for me to pray and love.
