SSS experience

early Tuesday morning, i was so excited to work. i woke up by 4.50 am. prepared myself for an early morning run - with my usual effects - and off my way to my girl's apartment. i send her to work every morning on weekdays. did a little shortcut on my morning route for i need to work early - reason I AM SO EXCITED TO GET AN SSS ID.

i started working at 6.30 and stopped by 8.00 am. afterwards, SSS EPZA Branch is just a step away. yahoo! i got my queue number (#88) and E6 form. i fill it up and in less than 10 mins i heard my number being called by the security personnel - that was quick!

after 30 mins, a girl behind me is pushing (unintentionally) with her plastic folder. quite irritated, i looked a her angrily. lol!

after 1 hour and 15 mins, a middle aged women in front of me made her hair a shoe polish - me being the shoe. lol! gggrrr. i told my self to have more patience.

after 2 hours, i was able to grab a seat. played a little zelda then i saw a pregnant women. i let her take my seat of course.

after exactly 3 hours, my name was called.

woman (w): *********** po?
me (m): yes.
w: sir, bagong id?
m: no, for replacement.
w: sir ano pong reason?
m: nawala yung id ko.
w: hhhmmm. may affidavit of loss po kayo?
m: wala.
w: bayad na po kayo?
m: hindi pa.
w: ok, sir bayad po muna kayo dun sa teller. tapos kuha po kayo ng affidavit of loss. (while writing on my E6 form with those two requirements).
m: ok, saan ako magbabayad?
w: sir dun po yung pila (with the usual nguso to the direction).
m: after nun, babalik ako dito? eh tong affidavit of loss...
w: sir, sa abogado po. (cutting me).
m: ok. (i almost say, I KNOW). pero didiretso na ako sa booth for photo?
w: no, sir. babalik kayo sa akin. kung same day kayo babalik, diretso na po kayo. pero kung bukas, kuha po ulit kayo ng number.

knowing that i can't afford another hour to go to a lawyer for that affidavit, i crumpled my paper and went out of the office.

3 hours of lost time for nothing. Social Security System should change their name to Social Security S*ck. a service that needs a lot of improvement. SSS never realized that people value their time. i regularly pay my contribution and i don't deserve such service. hhaayy...i hope SSS folks can read this blog.
