last week, my cousin died because of kidney failure. the burial was scheduled a week after. and one particular thing that touched my heart so deep is how my late cousin's live-in partner - yves - showed his love. yes, it's like a "till death do us part"-like story.
they were living together for quite long until they found out that baby (my cousin's name) has kidney problem. she suffered so much. she body became bloated and she could barely breathe. ate jheng - older sister of baby - was always there for her. she stopped working just to take care of baby. but yves, made sure that they will all have something to eat. he worked hard just to have some pesos turn into food. imagine, they were just live-in partners and the guy is young enough to look for another girl but he stood by baby's side.
i saw him crying while giving his "thank you" to the public and while the coffin was about to get laid. i can feel his sadness. and i can feel his love for baby is still there. so touching. i hope he'll move on soon enough. i don't know if i'll be like him. i hope i can be...
