i appreciate and love her better each moment we're together. thank God i found her. if you're 5 or 10 years married, i know that you would say "oh, sa umpisa lang yan". but we rather cherish these moments, duh ba?

This is THE DAY!

oh well, here are some of the pictures last Feb 8. it was such a momentous event for me and my agom. we may not spend the whole day together because we have a lot of visitors to entertain. 

it may not be perfect but it's the fruit of our labor. thank you everyone for making this day possible.

Second Day to Eternity: Few more Steps

It’s another tiring day. Each moment that passes by, I get a little stressed and excited. Today, I woke up at 2 AM. Reason? Waiting for my family members to come in. Haha! I waited until 9 AM. We had our “final” interview by 10 AM. Unfortunately, Izel is late. It was raining so hard in San Pascual. God is so great. He told Father Ron to recite Apostle’s Creed instead of Act of Absolution. LOL!

After church interview, we went directly to public market to buy fruits for tomorrow’s event. We bought oranges, grapes and mangoes. I really think that it’s not enough but I need to follow girl’s instinct. LOL! Tina texted me and told me that all of them were already checked in and set at Villa Mila. Oh well, I can’t meet them for the next thirty minutes because we need to finish something else.

We fixed the souvenirs for the sponsors, checked the decorations, music and updated the list of rooms. Also, we had our final rehearsals. It was so funny because Kuya Jhing’s creativity came up but they were all turned down by Emman – “we work with what we have nothing else”. LOL!

Lastly, we bonded together – when I say we, it’s my family with Kuya Jhing and Ate Mimi. We ate at Golden Palace. Well, we don’t like the soup this time around. Anyhow, we all enjoyed the company.

To finish the day, three of us – Kuya Jhing, Ate Mimi and I – went to Mantagbac because Izel requested it. Ate Letty was already there. I know its still going to be awkward. She doesn’t like me – it’s how I feel it. But at this point in time, there’s no turning back. My Izel loves me very much.

Road to Eternity: Our Way to Daet

I don’t know if this is so-called eternity. All I know is we’re together, that we should take it slowly and go with the flow to enjoy things as they are.

February 5, both of us decided to go separately. By 6.00 PM, my mom and I were on our way to MOA. I decided to give my mom a treat – halo-halo with pancit luglog @ Razon’s. Yeba! Afterwards, I bought a good shirt to complement my soon-to-be wife’s dress.

Makalipas ang ilang saglit ay tumungo na kami sa Philtranco. Doon na lang kami nag-intay at pumatay ng oras para intayin ang bus patungong Daet. Doon na lang naming inintay ang aking nililiyag na si Florizel kasama si Ate Letty at si Alfie. Sa totoo lang ay medyo di gusto itong “set-up” na ito. Ngunit alam kong konti na lang ang iintayin kong oras. Hehe.

I slept soundly. I don’t know but I was sleeping most of the times. We arrived the place pass 3 AM. Oh my! We went directly to Villa Mila and spent the day there. We took our lunch @ Golden Palace. Ohlala! My mom loved the food. We ordered Tempura and Lumpiang Shanghai.

Medyo masama ang panahon dahil sa panaka-nakang pag-ulan. Kaya naman ang ginawa ko ay inayos ko ng inayos ang dapat gawin sa Hotel:

1. Reserba ang mga kwarto ng Neo at ng pamilya ko. Ito pa lang ay ubos na ang oras ko. LOL!

2. Makipag-usap sa tao sa hotel tungkol sa arrangements ng mesa.

3. Inayos ko na rin yung oras namin sa pictorial sa Biyernes.

Medyo marami pang aasikasuhin pero alam ko kaya na. J .

ngayon ay isang napaka-importanteng araw. haharap ako sa Diyos, sa taumbayan at higit sa lahat sa iyo habang binabanggit ang salitang "OPO". pag-proklama kung gaano kahalaga ang pag-ibig ko sa iyo ay pagtanggap ng mga agam-agam sa mga susunod na araw.

di ko alam kung may ipapakain ako sa iyo, o ilan ang magiging anak natin. di ko maisip kung paano kita mapapanatiling maligaya, o sa anong paraan kita mapapasalamatan. ang gusto ko lamang, kasama kang tumanda.

mahirap mangako na di kita paiiyakin. tayo ay dalawang taong magka-iba - ugali, pananaw, gawi. ang importante lang para sa akin, kasama kita. handa akong umintindi kahit anong dapat intindihin. pang-hahawakan ko ang pag-ibig mo sa akin.

amorosa the revenge

i am not a fan of horror movies. but i took time to watch - amorosa: the revenge - just to satisfy my curiosity. it is not scary. honestly, i was planning to make the whole night horrible for me by closing the lights (to create a scary mood) but it is not - not scary at all.

the story isn't nice, as well. this is one of those typical movies where a monster came up because a rape scene. i have high regards to all the actors and actresses (along with the director) but i think this movie is not good. i am going to give this a 5.00.

best of the best for 2012

unlike last year, i have a lot of things to share with my 2011. this does not mean that i don't have anything for 2012. but one thing is for sure, 2012 is really something. a very awesome experience.

top people for 2012

a. dan and albert. these two people are my best buddies. what else can i say? we know each other very much. it's not because we think the same but we know others are thinking. :) 

b. kuya jhing and ate mimi. these two people are really close to my heart. very dear that i don't want them to part ways. they are like my brother and sister. everyone in the community is but they are really special to me. 

c. ruth and joel. they tied the knot. yahoo! after so many years, they finally got married to became one. i am happy for both of them.

b. my girlfriend - florizel. she's always there with me. i love her, no matter what. if she breathes, i wanted to be the air for her. 

e. my mom. she had her second operation for her baker's cyst. she's really strong. i can feel how strong she is.

top events for 2012

a. went to youth pilgrimage. its my first pilgrimage with my girlfriend, what's not good with it!? i love it! every pilgrimage is a different experience. this one is awesome!

b. pamamanhikan. it was my mom's first time in Bicol. the experience with this pamamanhikan is exhilarating. grabe, sobra! i was very nervous yet so happy. the preparation for the wedding is also something...grabe. my girl's family is very supportive as well. oh well, this is it.

c. scrutiny. second time, still we failed. oh well, i am still proud of my community no matter what is happening. everyone has his own story and difficulty to share. a history that we should embrace.

d. this is it moment. i did it again for the second time. well, i can't reveal of course. it was during the scrutiny when i tested myself once again. despite the wedding preparations, i don't know what i am thinking of. lol!

e. trip with my mom to palawan. it was my mom's first time to travel by air! having a trip with her is really awesome. she loves me so much. i can feel it.

steamed chicken with cirtrus vinaigrette (my own version)

i saw this recipe from kris tv. it tastes good! my mom and my sister loves it.

here's how to do it: chicken was seasoned with salt and pepper with thyme. set up the steamer. in boiling water put onion leeks, lemon grass and garlic.

extract orange and lemon juice. blend both citrus juices and put it over moderate heat. add sugar and salt to taste. in a separate container, mix ample amount of water and potato starch until it became a mixture. add the starch mixture over the citrus mixture. heat until it became a sticky sauce.

my soon-to-be wife and i took our pre-nuptial pictures last day of 2012. mike yarte - our photographer - chose the grounds of divine mercy in alawihao, daet, camarines norte. make up was done by dexter of cut and edge salon in daet, camarines norte. the place is fantastic and awesome!

bucketlist for 2012 - verdict!

oh well, i have this list last 2012. and its time of the year to review everything. 

a. run a 21 k in camarines sur. i've been running for more than two years now but i haven't tried doing a 21K. i'll do it this year with tina and jessie in camsur. [EPA] I was not able to do this. I need undergo a certain medication - just like what Ruth did. it is FAILURE. [/EPA] 

b. read at least five books. i need to go back to reading. hope to start with aleph by paulo coelho. [EPA]  A big NO. I am too busy this year. it is FAILURE. [/EPA] 

c. loose 30 lbs. yyyyeeeessss!!!! i hope so. to increase confidence and boost my health. [EPA] No comment! LOL! It was obvious that this is unattainable. LOL! it is FAILURE. [/EPA] 

d. buy a new pair of running shoes. last time i bought one was 2009. so i think it's time to have one. my motto: it's not the brand. lol! [EPA] No new pair of rubber shoes but two new pair of leather shoes. Awesome! it is FAILURE. [/EPA]

e. write at least 130 blog entries. i am really trying my best to hit this. 2011 is a great frustration for me in terms of blogging. [EPA] Yes! 15 entries a month is really something! SUCCESS! [/EPA]

f. attend at least two team buildings. i was a self-proclaimed anti-social. i don't like to mingle with other people so much. this year should be different, i need to pull out the animal in me. [EPA] I was able to attend 1 with some other teams and a lot with my team alone. So, it is FAILURE. [/EPA]

g. prepare for "tutut". no comment. [EPA] This tutut is for my wedding! And indeed! it is a great SUCCESS! [/EPA]

h. learn spanish. hopefully, this year is going to be good in terms of schedule. i really wanted to learn the language. [EPA] too busy, so it is a FAILURE! [/EPA]

i. attend the NYP. this year it is going to be in tacloban. i am really going to free my time on this. [EPA] Yes! SUCCESS! [/EPA]

j. 40 days and 40 nights. i think i need this for cleansing. lol! let's see. [EPA] Yes! SUCCESS! [/EPA]

k. extended construction. if things went on my way, i will be able to have the money to have the house extended. go! go! go! [EPA] No, I need to save money for my wedding on Feb. FAILURE! [/EPA]

l. travel - either Baguio or Palawan. i've never been to palawan and it's been a while since the last time i visited baguio. [EPA] Yes! SUCCESS! [/EPA]
7 FAILURES and 5 SUCCESSES - not bad. =) .

another reason why filipinos should be proud of their race is rizzini alexis gomez. she recently won miss tourism international held in malaysia.

honestly, i do not know such competition exists. :) . she's a daughter of a former pba star from cebu. for everyone's sake, miss tourism international is the only pageant usually held on new year's eve. so technically, she won the title on 2012. wow! 2012 is such a year!

my new year's letter v.2013

dear God - 

almost all people would agree that every year is always the year of the lord - it's your year. thank you for 2012. it's fruitful and an awesome year. as i go back and see my blog entries for each month, i see compassion and warmth. i can still see the zeal and excitement to be a better person. i can say that I AM A WORK IN PROGRESS.

...thank you for my family. 2012 is the year when my younger sister settled down. we used to be 3 frickle-minded kids (by heart) in the house and now my mom was left with two. lol! it took us a while before we adjust in the house yet we did it - with your grace. 2013 is going to be different because i will be the one to settle down. but i know you will find a way. we can adjust and we can cope. 

thank you for my mom's health. each year, i see how her health degrades. i can feel and see it. keep her safe. please make my sisters safe and sound. 

...thank you for my work. this year is not a good year for me but certain turn of events are making me more patient and less aggressive. thank you for giving me this job - a job that i never dreamt of. i am not going to elaborate it further. lol!

...thank you for traveling with me. i was able to attend the national youth pilgrimage this year. this is special because it was my last one as a bachelor and first time with my girlfriend. it's like "getting to know you" stage for me and my girl. lol! but it was fun! at least, i know what she doesn't want and what to expect. 

palawan, palawan, palawan. it's an ace. it's world class. i've been to so many places but puerto princesa is fantastic. thank you for giving me the opportunity to spend quality time with my mom in such a awesome place.

...thank you for giving my girlfriend - my fiance. love is love. thank you for everything. you've created a not so perfect girl to complement a not so perfect guy like me. thank you!

...thank you for helping me how to discern. i've never thought that my life will change the way like this. the word "thanks" is an understatement to express how i feel. though we failed failed to surpass the second scrutiny, but the feeling is great. i am proud of my community and i can't see myself without the way.
