these are the exact lines from S04E07 of burn notice. believe it or not but its true. you can have a tons of pictures in your closet or a hard drive full of old scraps but none of them will tell the viewer the real story behind those pictures.

important thing is cease every moment. the picture below looks good. oh yeah! its in palomeras altas in madrid, spain. this is where the neo-catechumenal way started. i look so happy, right? i love the trees, its very picturesque. but, did you know that i stepped on a dog's poop while taking this picture?

by the way, i look good in blue and with my oakley. lol!

i used to be like some people taking photos in every angle. of course, i am a filipino! we love photos! but sometimes, we lose the other end. and that lose end is the very reason "why you are at a particular place and particular time".

it took me while to realize this.

Lost Memory of Tejeros Convention v.2

few days ago, we have celebrated 115th anniversary of tejeros convention - first presidential/vice presidential election and the founding of the modern day armed forces of the philippines. so what happened?

well, as far as i know, students are there in casa. teachers were also there. they had a little program with senator chiz escudero as their guest speaker. and that's it.

so where are the soldiers who were supposed to be celebrating with us? we filipinos have a saying, "ang di marunong tumingin sa pinanggalingan ay di makakarating sa patutunguhan.". well, basically that's my point. i think its about time for the afp chief to acknowledge this place's worth, right?

where are the veterans? veteran people are the closest predecessor of our heroes. they may not be directly involve with those magdiwangs and magdalos but they should have at least given the priority.

have you seen the place lately? oh men. how can someone put this place back on track if you have this place look awful. the local government of rosario should look into this if they are into tourism right now.

well, so much things have been said. for me, tejeros convention should be in the limelight.

grace ibuna - the voice of the mistresses - v.02

i am neither a mistress nor a whore. - grace ibuna

until now, grace ibuna is still the talk in town. after going out in the open to be the partner of the late congressman iggy arroyo, she sure made the media busy for some time. i don't want to speak ill towards her. i may not know how she feels but i think she suffered a lot. interviews show that she really loves the late congressman and no one is going to stop it. right now, as i see it, i think she feels that she has all the rights for she keeps on talking. a very tele-serye like love story, right? "you and me against the world" type of story is really selling to the public. what's new? lol!

i think this only happens in teleserye. lol! imagine, saying that she's neither a mistress nor a whore is a big thing for me. she may not be a whore. i really don't think that she is. her family is living comfortably. recent interviews even shows that they can have anything she wants. however, admitting that she's not a mistress is something that bothers me. oh well, probably she's still in denial stage. she may call it whatever she wants but the truth is she's denying of things that she needs to admit.

thanks for the rain

dear God -

early in the morning, you greeted us with an awesome. i always knew that its going to be an awesome day for me and other people to work and do their chores. you let the sun sees us this morning but the clouds were there, too. and honestly, i did not realize what this beautiful day has to offer. all i know is that you are going to make it special.

someone texted and said we're going to have eucharist tonight. i said..."wow! a gift from God.". you made time pass by and made me write some long overdue entries. though its quite hot, you gave me an idea to have the fan turned on. and now, you made the rain fall so heavy to ease the humid day.

thank you for the sun and the rain. this day is really awesome for you made all of them. tomorrow, is going to be another day. please protect me and guide me for i am going to have a 10K run in BGC. if you are going to make it a rainy day, please make me "sick"-proof runner.

to you God, we always pray. thank you for loving a sinner like me.

5.33 AM/5.41 AM

i am a morning person. even though i sleep late, i can wake up as early as 4.30 am. so, its not a big deal for me to make a morning run and/or fetch her. hhhmm...i assume you know who am i referring to. for the past couple of months, i fetch her every morning and then i go to work. 6 am bus ride makes me an early bird for i usually arrive 7.30 @ mandaluyong.

more than anything else, i love doing this for her. it's a good way to start my day. that makes my mornings  so special. i am so excited to wake up for i know i can see her. weekday mornings, i see to it that i am in front of their apartment by 5.33. she usually goes out by 5.41. arrives to her workplace by 5.50. for the past couple of months, this is our "date". so happy, to be with her.


for next week, its going to be different. she'll have a lighter schedule. she needs to report quite late - 8 am. i do not know if i can quit the habit. i don't know for how long. all i know is she loves me and i love her so much. i am going to miss the mornings with her.

Lost Memory for Tejeros Convention v.1

contrary to what many people know, tejeros convention happened in casa hacienda which is situated in the present day rosario, cavite - my hometown. it lies in the border of gen. trias and our small town so i won't blame some people who mistakenly say that it's found in gen. trias, cavite.

this convention very historic in nature. it is known to be the first presidential and vice presidential election in the philippine history. emilio aguinaldo became the president and mariano trias became his vice president. in this same convention, it was believed that the modern day armed forces of the philippines had its humble beginning. artemio ricarte became the first armed forces chief. so cool right? not many people knows how historic our little town is.

on another note, tejeros convention won't be famous without andres bonifacio and daniel tirona. tirona became the first filipino to question the credibility of the elected official. lol! he insulted bonifacio being "uneducated" so he should not have the post of director of the interior of the revolutionary government. funny right? what happened on march 22, 1897 still happens today. so for andres bonifacio, he became the first filipino to use his power (as the Supremo of the Katipunan) to nullify an election. he has his points. i am not taking sides but what would bonifacio expect in an election packed with magdiwangs?

Tupas to Diaz to Santiago

diaz, eulalio is the head of land registration authority (lra). he recently came into impeachment trial as a witness for the defense.

well to you a brief background, it seems that it started with the tupas (head of the prosecution team) reaching out to diaz for the list of lands and properties of cj corona. he used the search engine of lra and pulled at least 45 properties. this is very tempting in both the eyes and ears of tupas because this can strengthen their case against corona. imagine 45 properties which is worth millions of pesos. juicy, right? this news reached the public through media. reason? prosecution loves the limelight. probably, they are frustrated actors and actresses. anyways, that's beyond my control.

apparently, all of these 45 properties do not belong to corona. some are just names out of nowhere and with same name as the son in law of the chief justice. funny right? innocent people are being dragged into an issue that they are not aware of.

and now, since he's in front of the senator judges, what are you going to expect? a rumble! defensor-santiago even said - "i commend your ignorance". diaz keeps on saying that the inaccurate list isn't his fault.  moreover, the fierce senator judge linked the PNoy to diaz. diaz and pnoy are batch mates. diaz used to worked as a legal counsel of aquino. and to top them all, diaz is a volunteer in aquino's road to presidency. now tell me, what' on your mind? a very filipino way of paying debt of gratitude right.

five famous filipinas that influenced my life

corazon aquino. when you ask me about democracy, one thing that will come into my mind is cory aquino. it is true that opportunity comes only once. opportunity to serve and protect the people out of dictatorship. other people don't like her and criticizes her for being weak. so, who among our presidents are good enough to face a tyrant? a woman loved by filipinos. i love cory aquino. she made me realize that every filipino deserves something better. she is also humble. i remember that she said sorry to estrada's for supporting arroyo when the latter was ousted for presidency. aquino then supported the campaign to put arroyo down from her reign but was unsuccessful to do so.

miriam defensor-santiago. "i was born this way." lol! i simply love this line by miriam. in one of my facebook post, i described her as one of the best filipina legislators in the land. senate will be dumpsite of boring political warlords without her presence. when she won a seat in ICC (international criminal court), i was very happy. at last a filipina in international justice system. yes, she can be a little over the top in terms of her emotions, but come to think of it - we all are!

i may call her as one of those political butterflies. she used to be an enemy of the estrada's but later supported his presidency. she even said that she's willing to drop off a plane without a parachute if estrada will be ousted. when estrada stepped down, she claimed that she lied. lol! very honest, very witty. i love her so much. if my dad is alive, he would agree with me.
also, we may have different position in terms of RH Bill but i salute her being who she is.

bianca gonzales. if someone will ask me, "who taught you how to blog?". this girl will be one of those on the top list. others challenge me to be a blogger but bianca gonzales inspired me to blog. she made me feel that blogging - no matter what medium or language - should be my way of life. like bianca, i have so many ideas in my mind. and before, i have no way to express so i just it keep it and let it go. when you'll see her blog, its very simple yet full of sense. it is really awesome!

the more i read on her blogs, the more i feel that we're soulmates. yes funny, right! in one point of my life, i claim that she's my girlfriend. lol! i wish she knew about it. her humility, intelligence and wit makes me fall in love with her. lol! but of course, i need to wake up and tell myself that i am dreaming. i am not as tall and as good looking as john christopher intal. 

anyhow, being her soulmate is enough for me - i really claimed that she is my soulmate!

anne curtis. i think anne still has a lot of things to improve. however, her strong desire to do things that is way beyond her comfort zone makes me think that she deserves a slot in my top 5. i am a frustrated singer myself. and to top it all, i really have no sense of putting music and lyrics together. lol! but this anne curtis made me think that i can also sing. dreams do really come true. she even made a historic concert in araneta. some notes were flat and are really out of tune. yet, she's still on it. she's about to have another concert in cebu and prepping up for a concert tour in US. this girl rocks. a true anne-bisyosa.

her acting is also getting better and better. i simply love the way she portray her role in no other woman. her detractors might say different things but i don't care. she influenced me to dream big for it will really come true.

rosa rosal. when i was young, i always see her in then PTV4. she's used to be the governor of philippine national red cross. a true epitome of a filipina in action, she managed to help filipinos without asking in return. rosa rosal pulled the spirit of volunteerism in me. she made me think that honesty and sincerity are more than enough to help people help themselves out of hopeless situation.  

she's also a famous actress and known for her craft. some trivia here, she's the model of the famous trophy of FAMAS. she starred in some different movies which paved her way to stardom.

if we are going to do some math, known actress plus public service is equal to running for election. but this girl would rather continue doing her volunteer job. she believes that she can help other people without the pork barrel. oh men! she's really nice, right?

grace ibuna - the voice of the mistresses v.01

well, this is quite sensitive. while writing this blog entry, i am hearing grace ibuna - the mistress of the dead congressman iggy arroyo (brother-in-law of the former president gloria macapagal-arroyo). 

i am not afraid to admit that our family used to be one of those families in rugged path so-called "lol" - not laughing out loud but love or lust. i was in high school then when we found out that my dad is having a relationship with another woman. i hate her, in fact, given a chance i can bite her head off from her effing body. the feeling or situation might be a little different but having your family in the loosing ground is something that i don't want to happen again. 

well, going back to my point, i hate mistresses because i value family better than anything else. for me, a "man" should not get involve with a "woman" if you think you can't hold her forever. a woman is like a rose, don't cut them off from their stem if you can't withstand the pain of her thorns. in iggy's case, it just happen. two women trapped in a situation they don't like. in the eyes of every filipino, aleli arroyo is in the position to claim and talk about anything about her late husband. aleli has all the rights over everything. in the eyes of God, aleli and iggy is just one. He bonded them together. unfortunately, things went wrong.

grace healed everything in iggy's heart. she sealed it with love and confidence. for me, this is the reason why she's talking right now. she feels that she has all the rights out of a wrong foundation. a mistress trying to tell the world that women of her kind is loved more than their man's wife. do you call it love? should iggy sing - "sana dalawa ang puso ko" or "bakit ngayon ka lang?"? do you call it true love? now that iggy is dead, how can he straighten things up? honestly, i don't like to hear her voice. i feel that she just wanted to  steal the limelight.

the greatest thing that you'll ever learn is how to love and be loved in return. is this what happened to iggy and grace? so, who's the trapped in the middle? who's the third wheel? aleli arroyo? at this point, i would like to ask my readers to read on Brida by Paulo Coelho. its an awesome book about love triangle and finding their soul mates. 

i rest my case here. everyone has the right to talk but i hope people should have "delikadesa" or sometimes "kahihiyan".

think about changing

blog skin..my blog skin has been here since 2008. it's almost 4 years now and was thinking of changing it.  probably, part of growing up. part of moving on. part of making myself a better person.

at first, i wanted this blog to be as easy going as possible. a simple yet elegant looking blog. i love the color green and i believe that it will best represent my personality. background is from painting of claude monet - which is famous with his water lilies paintings.

anyhow, people change and need these changes to face the world. let's see what i can do. office will be quite busy for the next few days so assessing the time spent would be a great factor.

thankful to God

dear God -

thank You for a wonderful day. You thought me "how to get mad and move on" in proper way. today is kinda special. You tested my patience but You thought me to value people. i love You so much for teaching me this. it's tricky at first but i know i'll get used to it. thank You for choosing me to be your servant and loving me unconditionally.

You have given me a lot of different things this week. hope that i could return it back to You by being a good boy starting tomorrow. ^ - ^ . You gave me time to celebrate word with my community and listen to them without closing my ears. i know that everyday is not a good day but i hope that You can help me to get it better.

thank You for my girlfriend for she is always here beside me. thank You for my family for loving me continuously in a way that i wanted to. thank You for my community for it continues to make me feel as i am. thank You for my job that continues to challenge me. thank You, thank You, thank You...

special week

this week is special. so special. very special. i just love it! i was able to send my girlfriend to her workplace (though i usually do) for one whole week. usually, it's just mondays to fridays. she wanted me to rest on saturdays but i took it as opportunity to run a couple of more laps - since i don't have work afterwards. but just last night, she texted me saying that we can meet before i run. sssooo cccoooooolll! sssooo hhhaaappppppyyy!

thursday, she cooked pancit for me. i ate it once i reached the office with two slices of bread and tea - of course over work. lol!

this made my week extra special. ^ - ^ .

thank you for handling the situation gracefully

it was a tiring day. i was about to call it a day when something popped up in my outlook for a meeting @ 7 pm. and the title has those 6 letter word that i hate so much - URGENT! being a support member, i need to deal with these stuff. yes. stress is next. all the peeps in the invites are indians - meaning "i am alone". then next more stress.

well, its better to talk to them today than to run after tomorrow. i gave them the details that our team need and they need. the conference ended few minutes before 7.30. informing my leads and manager is another case, it was hard to put it into words so it took me a while before i forwarded an email.

10.15. i was supposed to go online by 10. but i am watching budoy so i decided to make myself available after the teleserye. a couple of more minutes, i saw an email coming from my manager saying - "thank you for handling the situation gracefully!".

as in wow! it is really worth more than a month salary. it is really true that if you love what you do, it will love you, too. money is good but words such as those is more than worthy enough. God, thank you for your blessings.

azkals on sexual harassment issue with cristy ramos

others say that they got the looks, they got the balls to kick some ass and they got the girls running and screaming after them. 

and to add one more thing in the list is they got the attitude. hehe. my friend use to say that i got some attitude problem but these two football players from azkals beat be up.

they are two of the many half breed athletes of our country. moy is half chinese while guirado is half spanish. they are sover piling up like pancakes. and you know what do they have in common? they always say, "i am a filipino by heart". wow! then, you'll hear both gurls and girls screaming like sirens when they saw these athletes. ok, maybe i am getting a little over the edge and too harsh on them. they really give glory to our country but do we need them? unfortunately - yes. we need these people for they are more athletic. moreover, they have the money to train (they could have started kicking some balls when they were toddlers). ok, i'll rephrase it. they have the right experience. 

given that they have different culture as ours, we couldn't blame them to have a different attitude - its a pain in the ass to admit that. but it is not an excuse to have a bad one. again, guirado and moy are just two of the half breed athletes that we have in the country. so, are we going to expect some more of these arrogant behaviors? i am not saying that all of them have dogmatic intuition.

this incident should serve as a lesson to the philippine athletic commission. think not just once, but hundred times before we IMPORT athletes. two of the basic things about being an athlete are discipline and respect. that's the bottom line.

ideal man straight from a real man

yesterday is quite unusual. i don't usually watch showbiz oriented talk show every saturday. i just don't feel like it. anyhow, i managed to pull myself in front of a television and watch Showbiz Insider Report. it featured John Lloyd Cruz and Gerald Anderson. well, they both have the charisma for gurls (GUys na pa-giRL) and ladies - of course. after the interview, joey marquez (one of the hosts) was right that most people will really fall in love with these two actors - and might be thinking that they are the most ideal boyfriends in the land. the interview really made it that way. well, interviews were really like as if pulling the best things from someone else. however, joey gave three characters to be an ideal man.

1. assume yourself with abundance of sense of humor. women loves humor.
2. be mature.
3. have security that you can protect your loved ones.

i feel that in order for someone to meet the girl of his dream, someone don't need to be as good looking as artists do. he just have to be himself. he doesn't need these ideal characteristics. he just have to be honest.

i am not perfect. this is the reason why i don't like to date someone who has been a friend of mine for a couple of years (we were at the same community). but look where i ended up with. i am with someone whom i am acquainted with for a couple of years. she accepted me as i am. and that's why i love her so.

God is the greatest shoemaker. He sees to it that he creates a pair.
