let me do it again

i am not going to elaborate it. i simply can't. but i can only describe how it feels. the feeling is still exuberant and tremendously awesome. mostly, people would say - promises are meant to be broken. for my case, i need to fulfill a promise to follow my heart.

i know that this is the perfect time, scrutiny is almost over and i am preparing for my wedding next year. somehow, i realized that i need money. we need to pay for the hotel accommodation, venue, food. we need to buy wedding rings and pay for our honeymoon. yes. i don't know why but i know this will hurt me a lot. so, i did!

i so love the feeling.

second time around...

convivence is done. i think i personally need it, i need it! first day is kinda harsh. harsh to accept that we are in a dorm type room instead of a comfortable one. lol! a lot of people are using the retreat house. Mary the Queen communities were there for their echo. in fact, there are two groups of people doing the echo. we started kinda late - around 9.30 pm. had three readings - awesome readings - which made my day. we ended the day with silence. no talk.

second day started with (of course) morning lauds. and a lot of talk with from catechists. afterwards, the dreaded questionnaire. it is true. when you try to answer the same questions for the second time, words will be different. the so-called situation and your mind set are completely different. we were grouped with other parishes. pa and i became group 6 - our group mates? they are all oldies. fortunately, their answers are direct and concise. awesome group! day ended with eucharist.

last day is morning lauds with some readings. perfect day to finish the whole convivence is to explain everything in plain words. ahehehe. i can't explain things as they are because its going to be complicated. in any ways, the experience is a awesome as our first one. december 2 is the final stage. hope that we'll do well. =) .

a secret affair

another movie which tackles third party thing in a relationship. for me, this movie is just hyped because of the lines. in one day, they hit the 20 M box office. oh men! a lot of money for this movie. i don't want to speak ill with the artists but i think the story is quite mababaw...=). and shows how a stupid fight can be so nasty with modern technology.

i'll give a rating of 5.75.

its more beautiful in the philippines v.2012

last year, a lot of filipinas marked a history in beauty contests - ms. universe, ms. world and ms. earth. they may not won the title (just runners up) but it still. being one of the finalists makes me very proud of our race.

this year, three filipinos (as in men and women) marked its own history in pageants. grabe! its so awesome!

ms. international queen. they said that if girls have ms. universe, transgenders have ms. international queen. kevin balot became the first filipino to win this crown.

photo is from here.

manhunt international. june macasaet is a professional ramp model. again, this is a first for the philippines to capture the crown.

photos is from here

mr. world. first time i heard about this contest was last year. obviously, it's the male pageant's counterpart of ms. world. andrew wolff was personally hand-picked yet he won the first runner up. he's also an actor so his face might be familiar with some of us.

photo is from here.

ms. earth. stephany stefanowitz won ms. earth - air (1st runner up). though my sister thinks that ms. earth is a little bias to filipinos but she still good. she made it to the top 4 and her answer is a lot better than the winner. =) .

OAmalayer

i've seen the video. this scene usually happens with me. it's not that i used to rant with some security guards but i usually make "reklamo" to establishments whenever i've seen something not cool - especially if i am paying for their service and expecting them to do their job.

this is from here.

security's side. people like amalayer should be more sensitive. duh! she's not the only girl riding the MRT being subjected to inspection. again, duh! most of these people are dealing with thousands of people! it's not just you. duh! my father used to be security guard so i know how hard it is for the family of this lady guard to be mistreated like this.

always remember, an educated person (like you claim to be) acts in a civilized manner. if you wanted to air your concern, put it into proper order. don't just rant like that. you're so OA.

amalayer's side. guards on the other hand, should practice their critical thinking and wise decision making. based from my experience, there are some guards that are really rude and grumpy - just like this amalayer girl. i don't have the right to judge you, so instead of criticizing guards i will pass the ball to establishment owners and security agencies. if you go inside in malls, guards will inspect your bag. sometimes, i'm being tempted to ask these people if they know what they are looking for.

are they looking for guns? improvised bombs? wires used for bombs? "bomba" as in porn objects? well, security agencies should do better. what happened to a mall in Pampanga? a teenager went inside a mall with a gun and shot his ex-boyfriend to death.
are they looking for cocaine? ecstasy? mary jane? how can they see something like this if they just browse through your bag and not inspecting the rest of it?
or probably they're looking for controlled chemical substances? what's the color of sodium? lol!

i know that it's for the sake of everyone else but i think sometimes its being an OA. =) .

edward's side. when i saw this video, i got scared. lol! reason? there might have been some videos in youtube that shows how i sometimes get as rude as amalayer. i am not that rude, though. lol! but sometimes, technology might a little bias. example, you see the video and you'll find lady guard's side so "kawawa". but we haven't seen or heard the truth behind amalayer's side. yes, she aired her side in some media outfits but we did not see the everything - like in a form of video. to the person who uploaded the video, you're so OA.

my amnesia girl

i have seen this movie so many times. and yes, its still taking my breathe away. aside from cheesy lines that you will hear all throughout the movie, you'll also see how toni and john lloyd act and present themselves as actors and actresses - something that will give them an edge against the artists of their generation. its not drama, its romantic comedy but the versatility of acting is there.
apollo: pupuntahan mo ako?irene: bakit ba pinupuntahan ang isang tao? apollo: kasi gusto mo ako?irene: hindi, kasi mahal kita.
the depth of the story is also present. the twist is different from the ordinary. a story of moving on and starting anew.  a girl wanted to completely remove a guy our of her mind pretended that she had an amnesia. the guy thought that this whole amnesia thing is true so he did everything to win the irene's heart once again.

yes, ending is still the same - they fell in love and live happily ever after. but as i said, the twist is completely new to me. lol! i'll give this movie a 8.5.

obama wins!

the world's most powerful man has been re-elected for his second term. a lot of people were happy with his victory but some are pissed off. no matter what the reaction of the people is, its a clear reflection that  you can't please everybody.

anyhow, what's in it for me? actually, i don't know. will my life change if romney won last election? i am proud to be pinoy and not an american citizen - check my grammar, its not americanized - lol! i created this post not give my comments or opinion about romney-obama clash. i am writing this blog entry to raise my concern about filipino's colonial mentality.

what's with the hype? the media is giving it a hype - like magnum ice cream. in fact, a lot of ordinary filipinos even gave their insights about the outcome of the election. who should win? why should obama win for re-election? what's in it for the americans?

my stand is we should just watch and observe. media can talk about so many other things not this election. pnoy's love life can even have a more direct impact to our country than this election. please please please - leave it up the americans.

anyhow, to obama - congratulations!

last day of this year's convivence

last day is another awesome day! it ended with a fruitful celebration of the holy eucharist. every day is a chance for someone to change. every eucharist is an opportunity to pro-create - create a new you. and the eucharist is another should i say - "give me patience" eucharist. instead of delivering myself into the pit of death, i prayed and asked for forgiveness. i can't withstand these people giving boisterous remarks.

anyhow, one of the most exciting part is the pictorial. lol! i got these pictures from ate lot's facebook account.

i love this place. it's lovely and relaxing.

bag-rat

wwaahh!!! this is unfair! i so love my nike laptop bag. but my naughty best friends (big rats) have become my ultra mega best friends.

this happened when i put my loaf of bread inside my bag. lol! when i left the bag from outside, this is what happened. so unfortunate. i love this bag very much. its handy and trendy. its hard to guess that this is a laptop bag. its more of a trendy bag just around the corner. hhaayy...

i got this my former project. a project who made me felt so good yet so bad. so, the bag is quite memorable for me.

3rd day Regional Convivence - A Test of Patience and Understanding

this year's convivence is quite weird for me. reason? i thought its "kid's" convivence. =) . i have nothing against kids - believe me. but i guess, i developed this "ADHD" - wherein i get easily distracted whenever people are running or talking behind me. i cannot concentrate. i feel that this is kairos. a moment where God passes by but there were some people that keep on pulling that precious moment with me. oh well, i think its my problem - not theirs.

this year's questionnaire is not that hard to understand - or probably i've been with the way for a couple of years so i know how to answer - ahehehe. i even took a quickie nap. last year, i was assigned to a group with my friend's ex gf and now i was assigned with a girl which i don't like to talk with! lol! oh well, thank God that i have the courage to talk.

after a few hours of answering per group, its now time to answer in front of the whole assembly. every answer is a revelation. of course, i cannot tell each and every detail but its something that i should cherish. a son hurt by pressure and devastated with time. a mother wounded by a series of unfortunate incidents. but the good thing is, God moved into their lives.

the magisterium is also perfect! short but very concise.

taken by kuya pops last year.

tomorrow is one of my biggest days
last weekend of august

todos los santos

it is something that we do not miss. along with millions of filipinos, we went to cemetery to visit my dad, auntie, lolo and lola. and this year is kinda special because we bought a tent to give us shade @ noontime. yes! jose, joel, ruth, jasmin and i helped each other to set it up. yehey! it's like playing!

this is also a day of meeting some old friends. i was able to see a couple of people from our community, some old school mates and relatives. i am really not friendly so i just smiled back on them.

one thing that amazes me is the beautiful sunset. a true gift from God. awesome! i miss my dad but i know he's happy with where am i right now.

its not that i am a fan of yahoo but its the first search engine that i am acquainted with. however, i recently noticed that they are having trouble with the contents of their news. see >>

>> who is legard?

i am not perfect. most of the times, i commit that same same mistake but yahoo should have been more cautious because they have millions of hits. just my stand. =) .

2nd day Regional Convivence 2012 - a day to cherish

second day of regional convivence is a day to cherish. full of catechesis, songs and words of God. in the afternoon, we had scrutatio. i have nothing in my head but to think of how to converse with Him. so i prayed and begged him to talk with me.

he did. prayers can really move mountains. and it moved mount edward inside my heart. it helped me to alleviate the pain of "what i thought to be a healed wound".

i am not good in forgiving people. especially those who have left us behind during our dark ages. i always ask myself - why should i forgive him if he's not asking for forgiveness? why should i help him if he left us - our family - from the dark? but there comes a time where i started to open the line of communication. i thought i am fine. i thought that with this effing phone number, i may start to forgive him. but he triggered it, he asked for money. the "what i thought to be a healed wound" became fresh once again. is he talking to me because he just wanted to ask for money?

my scrutatio for - 2 Cor 6: 1 to 2 - helped me a lot. all of the words are leading towards loving and forgiving. every time i ask him a question, the next reading helped me realize the answer. and now, i am just waiting. i don't know if i should wait but i am.

this convivence is so good. a perfect way to commune with Him.

How Lovely are Your Dwelling Places

political dynasty in cavite

it is just november but you can feel it. it is not christmas but the election fever. for me, every election is like other elections. reason? you can see the same surnames. you can hear the same family. as of this writing, i can still hear the names of abaya, revilla for local, we also have cayetano, aquino in national.

i may not be in the best position to judge them but my question is - does it really runs in the family? my answer is a big NO. for example, in first district of cavite. abaya's are really creating a dynasty - one person from the other. from plaridel abaya who won over jun nazareno so many years ago. he gave his seat to his son - jun abaya - who recently became the dotc secretary. since jun can no longer run for congress, boy blue is running for the same position.

revilla's are also creating something! lol! they used to be the 'talo si mister, talo si misis' tandem is now joined by bong's brother - strike revilla - and his son - jolo. bong is still a senator, lani (i think) is seeking for re-election as the congresswoman of the lone district of bacoor, strike for his last term as mayor of bacoor and jolo for vice governor of cavite. wow! heavy!

they said that it runs in the family but my take is - it is a political dynasty. should we vote for them? i am going to vote if he/she is the best option. we all have the right run for various political position - no one should stop them from running in 2013 election. my bottom line is - filipinos should not vote based from family names but based from platforms and track records.
