forever and a day

i must admit. fine fine - i did watch this movie after i have downloaded it. haha!

for me, the movie is a trash. sorry, for  kc and sam fan. i love some of sam's movie believe me. he's very effective in a feel good movie but this movie (again for me) is not good. kc, on the other hand, is beautiful - hahehehe. however, their lines are quite impressive - pang-pick up! lol! anyways, here are some of the lines that i got >>

paulo coelho in pirate bay!

when i checked the pirate bay site today, i saw a familiar face of a man who influenced my career (see my blog -  samu't sari - not explicitly mentioned but his words in that entry is awesome!) in so many ways - paulo coelho. i find it very weird so i grabbed a screenshot of their home page.

there it says, "The Pirate Bay proudly promotes Paulo Coelho".  and when i checked his blog site, he's proud of it! i say, "what?". anyways, here is what Paulo say >> Promo Bay. it was awesome. i really love his thoughts and beliefs. lol!

zombadings: patayin sa shokot si remington

this movie is so funny. the twist is awesome and the ending is unexpectedly crazy! the actor martin escudero played it well, medyo malandi nga lang but it's really funny. the horror effect of the movie is not that scary. the plot is concentrated sa love triangle nina - Remington, his guy bestfriend and his love interest Lauren Young. well, it's a movie. di talaga matatackle ang lahat ng aspeto. 

i'll give this movie an 8.

bird sanctuary

the philippine reclamation authority is proposing to have 635 hectares place near roxas blvd. be converted to a private, commercial and tourism area. sounds awesome? not until you hear that this is situated right beside a protective wetland that caters  a lot of different birds – migratory birds from china, endemic philippine duck and thousands of waterbirds. imagine that? check this out. i don’t want to enumerate everything that you can see here because this is not what i want to stress out.

just recently, noli de castro reported how this sanctuary is threatened. it broke my heart when i heard about the issue. hearing of how the local government stands on this issue, mayor bernabe said “…irerelocate natin yung sanctuary…”. yes, RELOCATE. i think he has a hidden talent of talking with the birds to tell them that they should be relocated. in my own words, he is boplaks. sover (super and over) boplaks. he added that they need this project so as to generate jobs and provide housing to the poor. gggrrr… i am not anti-poor but i am against politicians who do not have political will. these politicians – like mayor bernabe – is a traditional politician (trapo) who keeps on using the poor in their platform every election. so pathetic.

again, i wanted to stress out that i am not against the poor. i just know that there are other alternatives in relocating them, in generating jobs, etc. if i am the mayor, i’ll convert this bird sanctuary to a beautiful and clean place. this is one place that the whole city that could be proud of. remove the squatters who lives in the nearby place. i am not anti-poor, i am pro-nature. there are things that we really need to compromise...

bull run for enduRUNce

last jan 8, i completed my first 10K run for the year...its the PSE Bull Run. it's a difficult one. first, i don't have any practice. i haven't run for three weeks and i can feel that my tummy is already protruding. another thing is that i have LBM. lol! i actually am having trouble with my bowel that morning. i prayed and leave it to God.

the route is quite good but the lights aren't that good in some parts. if you'll know me personally, you know that my vision isn't good at dark. luckily, there are some white ladies - ladies with fair complexion that i use as reference on which way i should go. lol!

it's not my best time but it was my longest run without any stops - definitely a test of my endurance.

pretty bad that i have no pictures taken during the event. anyways, i took a picture myself and that is after the run.

right way?

I am not a fan of GMA. They use to call her PGMA but now it is CGMA. Whatever it is, I do not like her. For me, she is the “Face of Deception”. She did everything to win a position in the government. Who’ll forget the words she uttered – “I am sorry.”…

And now, PNoy is on the run to give us – as Filipinos - what we deserve, and that is JUSTICE. I like the word, JUSTICE. It’s for everyone. It’s our right. She is a cheater. She is a big disgrace in the electoral system. Though I think, GMA is really the best person to fill up the position last 2004 presidential election – than FPJ – but the fact that she won the presidency by cheating, I hate her.

With the government’s action to put GMA behind bars, are they really doing it in the right way? Aren’t we stepping on her rights?

Lagi kong sinasabi na ang isang pagkakamali ay di dapat sundan ng isa pang pagkakamali. Mali na nga, mamaliin pa natin? Baka naman pede nating itama di ba? Ang kanyang karapatang mag-layag. Ang kanyang karapatang magkaroon ng patas na paglilitis. At, ang kanyang karapatan bilang isang dating pinuno ng bansa.

Marami tuloy ang napapabayaan dahil nagiging pataasan ng ihi ang mga taong gobyerno. Nagkalat ang mga nagyayabang na sila ang isa sa mga tumutugis kay GMA. Pwede ba? Tantanan na natin ang tao? Nakakakulong na di ba? May sakit pa.

Tapos ngayon, si Chief Justice Renato Corona naman. Maaaring tama si Corona o ang gobyerno, ngunit di tamang patalsikin siya. Maganda ang magiging patakbo ng bansa kung may mga sumasalungat sa nais ng gobyerno. Tamang timpla lang at tamang pag-sasama ay makukuha natin ang perpektong gobyerno na naglilingkod sa bawat isa.

Sana ay maging maayos na ang lahat. Maging maayos na sana ang ating bansa.

happy chinese new year

its about time that the country declares chinese new year as a national holiday. our beloved motherland is composed not just filipinos but also a couple of other descents - american, spanish and chinese to mention a few.

chinese new year is a time of the year when people flock to feng shui experts and ask what's lucky or not. the common question is - "how am i going to be rich?". what's new? lol! every year they ask the same question and all they ended up is buying those beaded necklace and bracelets, lucky ornaments and fruits. so, who's going to be rich this year - sila yata di ikaw?

this blog entry is not about criticizing these so-called lucky experts. for me, in order to attract positive vibrations you need not to be bitter. move on to things that might ruin your day. do not dwell too much into the context of an argument, instead understand how things went through constructively. and the most important is pray. prayer helps us to be humble and more dependent to God.

lastly, be contented and thankful of everything you have.

budoy

i must admit it. i love the telenovela Budoy. it's getting more and more excited. it tackles a story of a mentally-challenged guy who finds himself in the middle of two socially different mothers - the biological mother - Luisa - and another mother by heart - Elena. Budoy is suffering from angelman syndrome. the Filipino-like plot is still there. Budoy was given to a caretaker because his condition is a shame to Luisa's family. he grew up in the hands of Elena. Later on, Budoy saw himself getting closer with one of the owner's of the school where Elena is working. Apparently, the owner is Luisa. They discovered that Budoy was their missing child -- aaww, so Filipino.

so what makes Budoy so special? his positive outlook in life. he has this charm that will make people think. later on, he became one of the most genius student in their campus. his rags to riches story makes him more famous. he's so famous with his line - Be Happy. Be Thankful. Be Budoy...

so far, gerald anderson - who plays budoy - impresses me so much with his acting ability. good job!

best of the best for 2011 v.01

5 best places i visited for 2011:

a. Pagudpod, Ilocos Norte - i do not like going to the beach - probably because of my insecurities - but i super love pagudpod. it's one of the best places where you can be what you are. quiet and solemn with just the waves and the winds to talk to. 

b. Madrid, Spain - madrid is one unique place. a person never been to this place would say that possible reason is that their culture is different. but for me, it's the ambiance. it's beautiful. dazzling. with - of course - a twist of any developed countries have - (can't reveal).  

c. Toledo, Spain - toledo reminds me so much of two places - san francisco because of it's hills and san jose because of it's unique air. it's like i am back to medieval times. the buildings are old but the people will give you an idea that you are in @ 2011. it's hills are so hard to resist. awesome. 

d. Avila, Spain - this is another place with a medieval setting. what makes this so unique for me? the walls, the gates and the architecture. simply breathtaking. its like intramuros on the 99th power. lol!

e. Vigan, Ilocos Sur - vigan simply captured me. that's it. it's beautiful and cool. 

5 best new acquaintance for 2011:

a. chip allen - he's not just a source of laughter but powerhouse of words that you'll admire. he's one of the managers that you can feel his sincerity. he's not just concerned with the project but to the people most especially. 

b. alfonso and esther - their dedication to accomodate people during JMJ is awesome. we stayed in their  house for a couple of days and stayin' in madrid would have been boring if i did not met them. i simply love this couple.

c. claro and alena ruiz - couple who's opened my world for a vast universe outside my world. lol! i am self-proclaimed anti-social. i do not mingle with other people that easily but this couple made me so much comfortable during JMJ.

d. dante endrano - if i will have someone who i can call as buddy during JMJ, it would have been dante. he's so nice and we almost think of the same way. lol! he's cool yet so simple.
e. father gilbert - he's a new priest on my sight. he's pretty busy with his schedules but he makes sure that we have a saturday eucharist. and with these eucharists, i better understand where is he coming. he's really one of the few good ones.

5 best buddies i have for 2011:

a. albert and dan - my buddies in terms of movie watching. we eat. we laugh. we watch. we share. we listen. it is really nice to have some peeps who can understand you as a guy. lol!

b. rj - my office buddy. i really never thought that we're going to be as close as we are right now. we share each other's secret and our career's goal and aspirations. he's a good friend to me and i am hoping that i am to him. tugs! tugs!

c. father gilbert - i thought he's going to be the last guy that will be on this list for 2011 - but he made it! i love his witty antics, his thoughts and his humility. people might think differently but i am see a future in this priest.

d. kuya bobby and rap rap - they are both close to my heart. they are cool! staying in a community that is full of antagonists is boring without these two guys. lol! antagonists is the term! yeah!
e. florizel - can i include my girlfriend in the list? lol!

5 best movies i've watched for 2011:

a. real steel. this movie is a tear jerker for me. this made me look back few years ago when i hate my dad so much. unfortunately, i cannot go back on those days.

b. sa'yo lamang. a filipino movie which made me realize that life isn't really perfect. i simply love the actors and actresses. this is really a fantastic movie.

c. kung fu panda. awesomeness. lol! this movie is full of fantastic words. the theme and moral of the story is not new but way it was narrated is flawless.

d. the road. the only horror film on my list. i don't like horror films but this movie is quite fantastic. the artists are not good but they story really drags me into it.

e.the book of eli. this is a 2009 movie and it took me 2 years to see it. the movie is really great. the story is fantastic. and the ending is awesome.

best of the best for 2011 v.02

5 most inspiring people for 2011:

a. anne curtis. well, do i have to say a word. she's not a singer but she's going to have a concert. dreams do come true.

b. father paulino fiocco. his life is really inspiring. his words are like double edge knife. he is the priest in charge on our bus during JMJ. he made me realize how st. therese of avila and st. francis of xavier.

c. pnoy. all leaders are not good enough. i know that. you cannot please everyone. especially in a country like ours. filipinos are just too comfortable with presidents who love the limelight. pnoy is good in delegating tasks which is one thing that i should master.

d. mel sta. maria and luchi cruz valdez. they both give a lot of ethical inputs to their radio program. i super love them both and made me realize that i should have been a family lawyer or a guidance counselor. anyways, what's wrong with me? lol!

e. kuya bobby and ma'am evelyn. both of them are so inspiring in terms of their relationship and their faith with God. their effort to proclaim the words of God is fantastic. i wish i could be like them in the near future.

5 most unforgettable moments i had for 2011:

a. moment with the pope. i don't like to elaborate in it. the zeal is still inside my heart.

b. anniversary. staying a year with my girlfriend is really cool. we weren't really together at that time because of the regional convivence but i assured that made my part. lol.  i sent her gift which surprised her so much. she's very thankful to that. and i am so happy she liked it.

c. scrutiny. this helped our community very much. it made us feel so close with each other. and made me feel so proud of my community. scrutiny also helped me so much in discovering myself.

d. inuman session with the kuya's. this is totally unforgettable. flor is down with fever so i have no choice but to drink with her kuyas. we talked about so many things and surprisingly, i got to know so much about them.

e. outside paoay church. goosebumps is the word! we went there during our ilocos tour and this is something made me feel so happy because it was a dream come true.

5 most heart-breaking experiences i had for 2011:

a. sendong tragedy. my heart really is in total grief. many folks - especially those in media - were asking and pin pointing people to blame. too bad. good thing that many people put their hearts into this. 

b. death of kuya ed. when i heard of what happen, i cried. it was all of sudden. i also cried when i saw ate lot for the first time during the wake. kuya ed is really a kuya to me. hhaayy. most of the times, i still see ate lot crying. this can definitely help her - to release what's inside her.

c. when i heard about my friend's so-called revelation. i just thought that he betrayed me. there's nothing wrong if he admits that he's a gay. but he should have opened that to me, he's a fried and close to my heart. well, maybe not. anyways, i am happy for him and his true love.

d. when i heard about drift in my community. i cannot reveal the details for now. knowing what happened is really not good and i should just move on.

e. edward's tampororot. a petty thing. lol! i got offended but its not big. my girlfriend explained to me everything and i accepted it. i still love her. 

5 most awesome achievements for 2011:

a. anniversary. having a year full of memory together and expression of love is really an achievement. i love my girlfriend. i love my florizel.

b. echo 2011. the zeal! as in oh my! the zeal of jmj is there and i need to put this into action. i did my best to extend my effort and echo 2011 is one way. it made me realize that i can be someone i don't expect to be.

c. went to madrid. do i need to say more? i went to madrid.

d. my first finisher's medal. i am used in having medals because of my intelligence. lol! well, i am really smart but not that smart. anyways, my first finisher's medal is so awesome because its my first medal out of a physical activity. i am super proud of myself. thank you Lord for the strength.

e. promotion. well, i should have been promoted last year. i know i deserve it. lol!

twelve for 2012

this is the first time that i am going to do this bucket list. lol! my catechists always tell us to cherish what you have today and leave it up to the Lord. no one knows if tomorrow will come. but this list will just be a simple reminder for me to prioritize things:

a. run a 21 k in camarines sur. i've been running for more than two years now but i haven't tried doing a 21K. i'll do it this year with tina and jessie in camsur.

b. read at least five books. i need to go back to reading. hope to start with aleph by paulo coelho.

c. loose 30 lbs. yyyyeeeessss!!!! i hope so. to increase confidence and boost my health.

d. buy a new pair of running shoes. last time i bought one was 2009. so i think it's time to have one. my motto: it's not the brand. lol!

e. write at least 130 blog entries. i am really trying my best to hit this. 2011 is a great frustration for me in terms of blogging.

f. attend at least two team buildings. i was a self-proclaimed anti-social. i don't like to mingle with other people so much. this year should be different, i need to pull out the animal in me.

g. prepare for "tutut". no comment.
h. learn spanish. hopefully, this year is going to be good in terms of schedule. i really wanted to learn the language.

i. attend the NYP. this year it is going to be in tacloban. i am really going to free my time on this.

j. 40 days and 40 nights. i think i need this for cleansing. lol! let's see.

k. extended construction. if things went on my way, i will be able to have the money to have the house extended. go! go! go!

l. travel - either Baguio or Palawan. i've never been to palawan and it's been a while since the last time i visited baguio.

thank you, wet tissue...

WARNING: medyo eeewww ang post ko ngayon. ahehehe...

i do not know kung anong nangyari pero ilang araw na akong may diarrhea. kanina nga,  i need to go home pa dahil sa medyo nahihilo ako. the nurse said its probably because of my diarrhea. kailangan ko daw ng maraming tubig at maraming electrolyte. thanks sa pocari sweat. lol!

so what's the wet tissue for? ahehehe. alam nyo na. di ko kasi mapigilan eh. buti na lang at may wet tissue, i felt more comfortable. lol!

wet tissue plays an funny role in my college years. one of my classmates used this wet tissue every minute of the day - especially during summer. she's an addict. during those times, pinagtatawanan ko pa sya. and now, wet tissue is already part of my accoutrements. ahehehe. di lang siya pang-cr, pang sports pa.

relasyon 92.3

one of the things that i enjoy doing is listening to relasyon by luchi cruz-valdez and mel sta. maria of 92.3 news fm. yes, it is an AM station found in FM frequency.  i love how they answer questions and discuss problems of their listeners. practical teaching, that is how i call it. mel sta. maria, as a family lawyer, answers questions in such a way that lay people can comprehend. he gives his insights and helps people in distress. luchi, on the other hand, uses her wide-experience as a journalist to ask questions that normal people asks. on a personal perspective, she's one of the best when it comes with asking questions. she sees to it that her questions have no direct and obvious answers.

i remember this question from a reporter of GMA 7 asking the sister of Tyron Perez few hours before his burial. the reporter asks, "ano pong nararamdaman nyo na malapit na pong ilibing ang inyong kapatid na si Tyron?". if that reporter tried to ask that same question to me (in the same situation), he'll get what he deserves.

anyhow, going back to "Relasyon". luchi's and mel's values are also intact. i love both of them. they start and end their program with a simple prayer. and throughout the course of their program, they see to it that they present morally fit options. if you're a frequent listener, normal questions are >>

a. Gusto ko lang pong magtanong kung valid ang kasal namin? Kasi po gusto ko nang makipag-hiwalay sa kanya.
b. Paano po mang-hihingi ng sustento sa dati kong asawa?

being true to the title of their program, they ask questions like "di na ba pedeng ma-workan ang inyong relasyon?", "nakapag-marriage counselling na ba kayo?", etc. bottom line is that they see to it that having annulment and nullity of marriage - which are totally different from each other - SHOULD ALWAYS BE THE LAST OPTION.

personally, i see that some people use technicalities as grounds for nullifying their marriage. what a piece crap? they're looking for legal loopholes because they no longer like the person you've slept with for quite sometime. i felt so bad every time i hear these types of questions.

being part of the neo-catechumenal way (a path to re-discovery of baptism and catholic church's response to a lot of different and new things) helped me to discern and (in as much as i can) uplift the importance of having a family. luckily, filipinos have luchi and mel to explain things, give honest answers and provide better ethical options.

my new year's letter v.2012

dear God -

2011 is a year to celebrate. You...

....gave me a lot of different things.
...let me travel so many awesome places.
...made me feel so special in so many ways.

thank for everything.

~ it was a dream come true to be in madrid, spain. i never realized how hard it is to be there. hard because i need to sacrifice a lot of so many things. lol! anyways, discernment is always the key. and indeed! i made the right decision. meeting the pope and hearing his voice felt so holy. i think that pope benedict is your reflection here on earth.

~ nintendo 3dsi. it feels good to have a new gadget. playing pokemon is like spending my lifetime. i have learned a lot of so many things on it - sacrifice, patience, courage and back up (you got to save your game first before battling an extremely good trainer). the latter is of course not applicable to real life. but the essence is the idea of trying - try and try until you die. lol! thank You for this.

~ one year with my girlfriend. i have learned so many things about her and she never fails to surprise me. i won't be able to enumerate everything God but you know how much i love her. thank You.

~ mom's health is my priority for now. thank You for making her safe despite the accident that she met last May. thank You for timing of my sister's work and my schedule we have surpassed all the tribulations. thank You.

~ gift of tongue is important. i know that i am talkative but this year God you made me extra talkative. thank You for giving me the courage to speak in front of so many other people.

~ scrutiny is another gift that i would like to thank You. the whole series made me realize a lot of so many different things with the people in my community. thank You for giving me such people to celebrate my life with.

~ work is not on top of my priority list but it keeps on bothering me. mingling with people is not my best asset but i know its one thing that i should keep in mind. as long as i am doing right, i will continue to be vocal and raises my concern in so many different ways.

~ i am really expecting to be promoted this year. thank You.

~ trip to ilocos will never be so happy without the presence of my super friends. thank You. despite our busy schedules, we were able to made this trip into reality.

~ i do not know if it comes with age but i tend to increase my political awareness. i do not know if i will be thanking You for that but Your will be done on me.

~ health is wealth. if that is the case, i am really rich. thank You for my health. hope that what i have in my internal organ be gone by 2012. thank You...
