who will forget this video?

blair carabuena vehemently assaulted an MMDA officer who's just doing his job. support to mang saturnino fabros - the MMDA officer - flooded - from media, netizens and to MMDA itself. carabuena - who works as an executive in Phillip Morris Fortune Tobacco Corp. - was even even suspended due to st**id behavior. and of course, he got so famous because the famous video above 1, 622, 289 hits as of this writing.

meanwhile, fabros was promoted by MMDA, his house was renovated by his fellow, he secured a scholarship for his six daughters and etc. his life literally turned upside down after this video was mobbed by the public.

and the latest? carabuena says his sorry. he even went to MMDA office to extend his apologies. so what? let's move on. people sometimes do a couple of inappropriate behavior most of the times. in the video, fabros accepted every assault, so who are we to make other nasty words against the big guy, right? let's just forgive and accept that fact. in all honesty, its also hard to say sorry. admit it!

noong una pa lang, nararamdaman ko na. medyo malabo yung langit. pero kahit alam ko na, ay umasa pa rin ako. at ngayong alam ko na, nagtatanong ako - bakit di pa ako nasanay? di ko alam. hehehe.

'yung batid na ng kaluluwa ko pero masakit pa rin sa dibdib.
'yung tanggap ng utak ko pero iwinawaksi ng puso ko.
'yung dapat ay magpasalamat ka pero di ko magawa. 

...ito ung dahilan kung bakit ko pinili ang Diyos kaysa itong mga bagay na ito. sa katunayan, nagdadalamhati pa ako ngayon. gusto ko sanang mag-salita ng marami pero di ko magawa. syempre, kailangan ay respeto na lamang.

kahapon, malakas na naman ang ulan - sumabay sa pagdarahop ng aking puso. akala ko ay patuloy na naman ang pagbagsak nito mula sa langit. lumipas ang ilang oras, pilit nang dumidilat ang aking mga mata. sa aking paggising, naramdaman ko agad ang pagmamahal ng Diyos. liwanag ang bumalot sa aking kapaligiran. nagbabadya ang pagpaparamdam ni Haring Araw at kasabay ang pagtawag ng Panginoon.

tama, sa gitna ng aking nararamdamang pagdarahop ay mahal ako ng Panginoon. sa gitna ng kadiliman ay sisikat ang araw. salamat sa Diyos!

world youth day - a year after...

january of 2011. its the time of the year when i asked my manager to for a leave on the whole month of august. no one can stop me. and indeed! august 2011 - a year ago - when i attended the world youth day in madrid, spain. 

its when i saw the pope and hear his voice while saying - "stay with me...". pope is saying those words when the winds were so strong and rain is pouring all over us. it was really an experience to remember. something that i should cherish while i am still alive. this will serve as the oil to keep my faith burning!

 life is something we should cherish. it has been a year since i visited a place i would really love to go and an event i would really want to attend. world youth day in madrid of august 2011.

people i used to know...

august is one hell of a roller coaster. early today, filipinos received a bad news about sec. jesse robredo. early this month, i received a sad news. one of my co-workers was found dead along the shore in lemery, batangas. 

i heard so many rumors about his death but i would like to leave it as is. one thing that i learned about this incident is everything can happen in an instant. i maybe writing this blog entry today but i may die an hour after. that's how it goes. everything can be a blink of an eye. 

also, most of my close friends at work know about my feelings against this person. yes, we used to be close friends but we parted ways because of our differences. in fact, i don't want to talk to him during calls or meetings. i know i might be a little insensitive but i have my reasons. 

because of what happened to him, i sent a quick "hi" and "hello" to my friends whom i call as "people i used to know". just to renew the communication. i received a cold reply from them but at least i took the initial step. 

it is true that true friends are hard to find. i may not know what that means but important thing is i have my neo-catechumenal community to back me up. through thick and thin, they are always here for me. i'm so lucky i belong to the second community.

goodbye sec. jesse robredo

today is Ninoy Aquino Day. i do not have work to do but needs to check my emails every now and then. i went up from bed at around 8.30 AM, went straight to my laptop and check my mails. oh! nothing special - just work stuff which can wait until tomorrow.

usual stuff passed by until a news alert showed up telling about the bad news. the audio of sec. mar roxas is quite cracky so i couldn't listen to him well but there was a caption below saying that late sec. jesse robredo's body was found. so sad. =( .

for me, he's one of the most trusted people in pnoy's cabinet - aside from mar roxas. tributes were flooding telling about his accomplishments and his effort to change the face of Naga City. he even won the Ramon Magsaysay Award. this is a quite a big lost for pnoy's side and the whole filipinos.

ang pangangaliwa ni kristen: just thinking

paumanhin, maramil di ito yung inaasahan mong babasahin na magbibigay sa iyo ng bagong balita tungkol sa pagtataksil ni kristen kay robert. gusto ko lang patulan ang kuwentong ito na. =) . ito ay base sa aking nalalaman at sa aking obserbasyon. 

ngayon, sino makakapagsabi na mangangaliwa si kristen? magandang babae siya, oo. magandang lalaki ang kanyang nobyo, oo. para sa iba, isa sila sa mga perpektong nobyo at nobya. tunay na kinakikiligan ang kanilang tambalan. pero ano kayang nangyari? sabi ko nga, hindi ko isasalaysay ang tunay na pangyayari dahil sa hindi ko naman talaga alam kung ano.

sa kabila ng pagkakaroon ng masasabing perpektong tambalan ng dalawa dahil sa kanilang hitsura, di pa rin masasabing magtatagal ang isang relasyon. marami pa rin akong kakilala na tinitingnan pa rin ang hitsura sa paghahanap ng makakapareha sa buhay. hindi sa hinuhusgahan ko si kristen, pero makikita mo pangyayaring ito ang isang babae na walang kapanatagan sa mundo. sikat siya, maraming pera, kabi-kabila ang mga proyekto ngunit di pa rin siya nakuntento sa kung ano ang mayroon siya. sige, titigil na ako. 

in our eucharist last saturday, our presbyter talked about wisdom of our heart and contentment. it's so hard to be contented these days. a world full of commercialism. however, he stressed out that we can be happy by listening to what God say. our heart maybe a little "marupok" sometimes but to discern is to follow His will. personally, i hate people who turns out to be a cheater but God's will is forgive and accept. you may not forget things like this but you we need to accept the fact that this may happen and we need to understand.

marami nang nasabing masama kay kristen at iba naman ay dun sa lalaking naging kalaguyo niya. ngunit wala tayong karapatan na mag-husga sa kanila. bagkus gamitin natin ang pangyayaring ito para matuto sa kung ano yung pwede nating gawin.

giving up something

sometimes its hard to pull things up. if you're in the midst of great desire between two things, what would you do? latest episode of white collar shows the other side of diana. different from being strong, independent and firm woman.

diana: i feel like running into two different directions. and once i stopped, i'm gonna have to face reality. 

neil: and never stop running. i tried. in the minute you do, it's not just gonna catch up to you. it's gonna run you over. 

diana: what if you wanna stop running? 

neil: you have to give something up. 

well, its true. you can't have everything you want. most often than not, you need to let go of things that you want. i'm starting to love the latest twist of this season's story! go caffrey! catch them all.

RH Bill: my stand, my thoughts v1

i am very vocal with my stand - ANTI RH BILL all the way. i should agree with some arguments which i may say as PRO RH BILL. i can site a lot of samples and arguments but just like everyone else, we owe everything to God - who gives us life everyday. it is really hard to understand what God wants to do in our lives. but if you want to listen, listen through your heart. do not harden it simply because other people is against the church. hhaayy...

to reiterate my stand on this bill, here are some of my points:

a. we do not have the right to stop someone else's life simply because another person's life is at stake. probably, i am saying this because i am still a single man. but if you have faith in God, it's going to be easy. God loves us so much for he has given us a lot of options. He gave us the brain to think as human being and not as animals. we all have our responsibility over everything we interact with. the rule is simple yet its so hard to follow.

it is not right to blame everything to the unborn child. whatever happens, it's still a gift. a gift of life to cherish and be happy about it.

b. we should strengthen woman's worth not by giving them freedom of choice but to educate them that the entire humanity needs them. in may 20, 1994, a woman named sushmita sen from india won the miss universe pageant because she know that the origin of a child is a mother which is a woman. bob goen, host of the pageant, asked the question "what is the essence of being a woman?". sushmita sen answered - "i think being a woman, by itself, the very fact that you're a woman, is a gift of god which we all must appreciate. the origin of a child is a mother, and is a woman, and a woman is one who shares love and who shares and shows a man what love, caring and sharing is all about. thank you.". i got this entire thing from here. women plays a very important role in the humanity. but i guess, most people are not aware of this.

come on! i've been to japan and spain. the problem with them is that they don't have so many young people. reason is simply because more and more women are less interested in having a child.

c. chastity is showing your love. i know i may not be the perfect person to talk about chastity. i am quite loyal to my girlfriend. i must admit that i sometimes do stupid things but that's all part of the learning process. but as i learn, i know my limitation. i know where to stop and when to continue. this is why i love my girlfriend very much. she taught me a lot of things that i don't learn from school. and that is to wait. i am very eager but i know it won't help me succeed. i should have quoting someone on this note about chastity. however, i chose to protect his privacy. instead, i chose to post a letter from a man who suffered a lot. allow me to quote a part of the letter - instead of teaching the children how to use a condom, let us teach them how to gain control over their sexual desires, let's teach them how to be faithful to their partners, to practice exclusivity, and to be patient. here's the whole letter >>

one more chance

to start with, this is just my observation. nothing else. =) 

as of this moment, One More Chance is being aired in Cinema One. my sister is watching it. she even told me to download a copy of the movie. lol! she's very addicted to it. i can even hear my mom screaming. lol! and so am i. i so love the movie. all of a sudden, i remember that this movie is one of the top grossing filipino films of all time. i immediately checked wikipedia and found the list below >> 

what!? praybeyt benjamin is number 1? oh men! it even surpassed no other woman? what!? it only shows how some filipinos were into some "funny" movies than a beautiful and well made movie. anyways, i watched praybeyt benjamin, too. but for me, in terms of creativity, cinematography and storyline, think this far far better than praybeyt benjamin. 

a story of moving on and finding new life after a break-up. oh men! the lines by popoy (john lloyd) in the movie basically says it all >>

chinno (janus del prado): di ko alam na ganito pala kasakit. ayaw ko na. take me lord, please.

popoy (john lloyd cruz): hoy! ano ba? chinno kung nakaya ko, kaya mo din. naalala mo nung ako ang nanjan?...(pause)...oh, di ba't ikaw pa ang nagsabi sa akin? na baka kaya tayo iniiwan ng mga taong mahal natin...(pause)...kasi baka mayroong bagong darating na mas ok. na mas mamahalin tayo. yung tipo ng taong di tayo sasaktan at paaasahin. yung isang taong magtatama ng mga mali sa buhay natin. ng lahat ng mali sa buhay mo. 

this is really a "pamatay" na line. =) . i'll give this move 9.5.

i am so proud of being a filipino. no matter what other people say! sa pinag-daanan na namang kalamidad ng ating bansa, makikita ang katatagan nang bawat isa para lumaban sa hamon ng buhay. makikita ang kabayanihan ng bawat isa.

enhanced monsoon rain

no storm signal number but the weather is so bad. floods were all over the street. believe me, our place is not a flood prone area but got flooded. wah! it reached to our kitchen extension. well, i admit that it's less elevated. i am a little nervous because it's the first time it happened.

it was three am, i am deep asleep when my mom woke me up. she said that we need to pull the washing machine out of the kitchen because it is already flooded. my initial reaction was, "WHAT?!". and indeed, the kitchen is already flooded. i checked the place again and saw that the our water pump will soon sink. we - my mom, my sis and i - decided not to sleep and monitor the flood. assess if we need to move some of our things to more elevated ones. based from my estimate, if rain continues this way for the next few hours, it will reach to our house.

after thirty minutes, the rain somehow subsided. God is great! i texted my girlfriend but no reply. seems that she's deeply sleeping. i texted some members of my community. it was just ate susan who replied back. she told me that the flood reached inside mommy osie's place! as in oh my!

anyways, God is so great! he is helping us. no major catastrophic event happened. i was so amazed on how this enhanced monsoon rain did to our place and to our country.

noynoy vs. kabayan

am i with noynoy or kabayan?

noynoy. pnoy is breaking barriers. he is putting the "freedom of expression" thing into something that no one ever did. well, gma used to be "mataray" with the press. so this so called "president/press thingy" is nothing new. the only difference is this time is pnoy directly hit someone else' in an unexpected event. he criticized the former vice president noli "kabayan" de castro of his hits and bangs against pnoy's presidency. 

my take? he should be more sensitive with the feelings of others. sensitive in way that he should remind himself that he is the keynote speaker of TV Patrol's 25th anniversary. well, it's like this. it's like talking about how you feel towards death when you're in a birthday celebration. or talking about accomplishments as a politician while you're inside a church. 

don't get me wrong. i totally admire pnoy's courage. but put it in a proper context. get it?

kabayan. he is a former politician who returned back to where he used to be - a broadcaster. this is (again) not new. there are really people who uses his exposure to media as a way to political ambition. noli de castro may not be one of them or maybe. his experience as broadcaster won my trust as one of the trusted journalist, as of today. 

my take? he is just doing his job as a broadcaster. he's being vocal of what he think is right. even though i am self confessed politician hater, i still love kabayan as what he is today. people may still call him as the vice president but he's still my kabayan as a journalist. however, he should have at least lay low and be crucial with his words. kabayan should realize that he used to be a political figure during gma's regime. so every words that will came out from his mouth will really be something.

in general, freedom of expression is applicable to both sides. kabayan as a broadcaster and noynoy as the president. i both love them. communication is a two way street. filipinos to government and government to filipinos. so what? this is a healthy communication.

itong larawan na ito ay magpapakita ng katotohanan. wala talagang disiplina ang marami sa atin...

kung ikaw ay laging nag-bibiyahe patungong opisina sa araw-araw, di na kakaiba sa iyo ang tanawin na ito. mga taga-tawag ng pasahero (aka barkers) ay nagkalat sa kalsada. pumupuwesto sila sa mga kanto para mas madaling makatawag ng pasahero. pero madalas, sila pa yung nagiging sanhi na mabigat na trapiko sa kakalsadahan. 

barker: gapang* lang boy. gapang lang.

drayber: may naic bang nauna? (sabay bigay ng barya.)

barker: si tonio. kakaalis lang.

*ang ibig sabihin ng gapang ay dahan dahan lang ang paandar. baka kasi maabutan yung naunang sasakyan na kapareho ng ruta. 

barker: naic! naic!

drayber: sino nasa unahan? (sabay parada sa gitna ng kalye, dahan dahang gumagalaw habang nag-iintay ng pasahero.)

barker: kaaalis lang.

ito ay mga halimbawa ng isang talastasan sa kalye. nakakalungkot. tila nawalan na nang silbi yung paalaala sa tabi ng kalye na "BAWAL PO MAGBABA AT MAGSAKAY DITO".

matindi pa nito, may mga pasahero pang sa gitna nang kalye sumasakay. kaya naman, nawiwili itong mga drayber na ito para mag-sakay sa di tamang sakayan. gising pinoy! gising!

RH Bill Rally!

i am not a fan of rally. in fact, i think some of the people who joins it were just being paid. whenever they are interviewed by local media, they don't even know what are they fighting for. oh well, its their choice and this is my blog - this is my opinion. 

today, the church is going to launch a big rally to crush RH Bill in congress. i am not going to join them but my prayers are with them. i am against RH Bill - a bill that will legalize abortion. a bill that will legalize killings.

my diet

i am on a strict diet - started three weeks ago. so far, i am good with it. i am loving it, i should say. except for the following:

a. i need to pack my things with plastic container of fruits - apples, pears and oranges - and some pieces of banana.

b. milk. i also need to bring some milk. most of the milks that are commercially available in convenient stores are full cream milk. my diet needs a non-fat.

c. take up some bitter-sweet medication. i hate medication! at all!

d. loaf of wheat bread. i love wheat bread. it's easy for me to eat one. but bringing a loaf from home to office isn't easy.

honestly, i don't like doing bringing some food when i go to the office. my bag is already filled with electronics - headset, laptop, charger, mouse, music player, charger, cell phone(s).

anyways, i know its for my own good. it's clean living plus my weight is going down so, i shouldn't complain at all. lol! loosing weight easier than hitting the gym. lol!
